I've been writing on the dark side of fiction since the late 1960s and early 70s. Some have wondered why I write dark fiction. Disturbing fiction. I guess you could say I've been drawn to the fantastic and horror fiction since an early age. We're all afraid of something. Why not the safe scare of a good mystery or horror story? Don't turn your television set on or sign on to the Internet.

The horrors of the world you will see there are far more disturbing than the chilling, fun

scares a good horror or supernatural mystery tale will delight you with. Give in to the alluring, sexual vampire. Imagine the teeth sinking deep, drinking away your life as you give yourself freely. Close the book, shut the light and you know you'll come back again for another fun read. And while writing horror, mystery and the supernatural, the author can free some of her own demons as well, creating worlds where the dark may threaten us and sometimes we lose along the way, but the good always triumphs in the end. My interest in the dark and the macabre has scared away more than one dinner partner.
